The Apostolic Faith is that set of doctrines believed in and
practiced by the Apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ
as found in the Holy Scriptures, especially in the New
Testament.
Examine these Scriptures:
Eph 2:20,
And are built upon the
foundation of the Apostles and Prophets, Jesus Christ himself
being the chief corner stone.
2 Tim 3:16,
All
scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for
doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in
righteousness.
Lu 24:46‑49,
Thus it is
written, and thus it behooved Christ to suffer, and to rise from
the dead the third day:
47,
And that repentance and remission of
sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning
at Jerusalem. 48,
And ye are witnesses of these things.
49,
And behold, I send the promise of my
Father upon you; but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye
be endued with power from on high.
The Apostolic Faith includes such beliefs and
doctrines as the infallibility of the Bible, the Oneness of God or
that Jehovah God of the Old Testament is Jesus Christ of the New
Testament, water baptism by immersion into the name of our Lord
Jesus Christ, the reception of the Holy Ghost by every believer with
the initial sign of speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives
utterance, (Acts 2:4, And they were all filled with the Holy
Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave
them utterance), a holy life, the rapture of the church and the
second coming of Jesus Christ.el
Eph 1:4,
According as he hath chosen us in him before
the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without
blame before him in love.
Jn 5:28‑29,
Marvel not at
this; for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the
graves shall hear His voice, and shall come forth; they that have
done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done
evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.
